Hot Line is a Czech jazz fusion band, and mostly by the third decade leading pianist, composer and arranger John Hala, who is also the author of most of the band’s repertoire. Besides pianists Hála also operates in the band drummer Michal Hejna, Rostislav Fraš saxophonist, bassist Zdenek “Wimpy” Tichota and guitarist George Smith.

Cast formation in the classical (piano, bass and drums) was founded in 2000 in Prague with Mexican pianist Mark Aanderudem. This cooperation culminated in the recording of the CD, which was awarded the Harmonie magazine in the category: Best Czech jazz recording of 2002. Later that year, replaced Mark Aanderuda young Slovak pianist Matej Benko. The trio performs regularly in and outside Prague jazz clubs and festivals.
