Petra ernyei (1975) was growing in jazz surroundings since her childhood. She made her debut at the jazzfestival in american sacramento when she was 18. Imediatelly after her return she joined the original prague syncopated orchestra of pavel klikar and sung with them for three years. Later she became a singer of the prague swing orchestra of jan matoušek where she sings until now. She is in love not only with bigbands but it is especally small bands that give her more opportunity for her singing.

Until two years ago, Jamie moved to Prague, was more than twenty years as part of the London music scene. Trumpet player, composer and band leader Laco Deczi was born in Bernolakovo (close to Bratislava, Slovakia) in 1938. In 1960’s he was a member of Karel Velebny’s S+HQ. In 1970 he recorded his solo album “Sentimental Trumpet” with strings. As soloist he took part on the famous big band recording “Jazz Goes To Beat” by Vaclav Zahradnik.

In the end of 1967 he founded his own Jazz Celula ensemble and since the beginning of 1970 he was a member of d the Czech Radio Jazz Orchestra (JOCR). He also made some duo recordings with the guitarist Sarka Dvorak and composed a lot of music for film and TV productions. Since 1985 he lives in United States where he is a leader of the “Jazz Cellula International”.

Laco has performed throughout the United States with a roster of jazz the finest musicians, among them: Elvin Jones, Bill Watrous, Junior Cook, Dave Weckl, Sonny Costanzo, just to name a few.

Black Sabbath concert, originally scheduled for 6 June 2012 is replaced by a unique project Ozzy & Friends. Matej Benko is a musician originally from a musical and artistic family. After getting to know many Slovak musicians begins to take jazz. Instead of piano, he starts to play an electric synthetysator. That was why in 2000 he went to study at the Jezkova conservatory in Prague not in the field of piano, but music.

With his bands (trio, quartet, quintet) plays mostly his own compositions. It combines elements of various musical styles. His work is characterized by rich melodies, extended forms, and frequent changes of meter.

Swing and jazz orchestra, Back Side Big Band has more than 11-year history and today it is a modern jazz band that will delight critical audiences as well as the hearts of those who wants to have fun. It currently has approximately 20 members (conductor, 5 saxophones, 5 trumpets, 4 trombones, keyboards, bass guitar, guitar, percussion), among which you can find a music teacher as well as their former students, scientists, programmers, railway employees but also future professional musicians.

Artistic director of the band is Lenka Vasatkova, who graduated in dirigency at the Jezkova Prague Conservatory, she worked in several international orchestral formations and now teaches music. The repertoire includes not only the big band swing era standards of the authors (G. Miller, D. Ellington, D. Gillespie, H. Hancock), but also compositions by contemporary authors (Phil Collins, Milan Svoboda, Joe Zawinul, Stevie Wonder). At the same time we can offer our copyright songs drummer Robert Štolba.
