Richard Adam is a Czech singer, one of the big stars of the former Czech swing. The greatest fame and popularity at the turn of the 50th and 60 the 20 century. It claimed to very good and abroad, was immensely popular in the former GDR and former Soviet Union. With the advent of normalization after 1968 it also came a wave of bans, harassment and political persecution. He has recorded approximately 330 songs, of which 250 were for Czechoslovak radio and publishing group 80 for Supraphon. His most successful song became the song Tina Marie, which is the only gramophone records in the USSR has sold over one million copies.
