Restaurant – Jazz & Blues club is located in a recently renovated Baroque building at pictoresque centre of Mala Strana. Its warm and cosy interior is served by friendly and knowledgeable personnel, that serves great food and drinks, and features of excellent selection of live jazz and blues performances. Upstairs you can find a spacious bar. Downstairs in the music club, live jazz & blues shows are presented seven nights a week.
Libor Šmoldas was born in 1982 in Olomouc, from childhood but lives in Prague. Devoted himself to music since childhood, played the flute and trumpet, and in 12 years began with a guitar. Mainly due to a fascination with recordings of Charlie Parker with the beginnings of rock and blues bands became interested in jazz.
Until two years ago, Jamie moved to Prague, was more than twenty years as part of the London music scene. He played in places as diverse as the Royal festival hall, Marquee Club, Twelve Bar or club for example, also in the London Transport Museum. He appeared in the British national radio station and also in television. Live Jamie played with such stars as Don McLean, The Blues Band, Paul Young and Los Pacaminos with Squeeze frontman Glenn Tilbrookem and British blues legend Long John Baldrym.
Rene Trossman is a guitar player with a long history in Blues Music. Since turning pro in 1985 Rene has just about done it all. The fantastic Chicago club scene, where he was a regular at both South Side and West Side clubs, playing with the likes of Buddy Scott, Byther Smith, Lurrie Bell, Iceman Robinson, Little Mack Simmons, Lorenzo Thompson, Deitra Farr, and others.
Music track with Roman Pokorny began in childhood. The music is intensely interested in three years and six years have played in the family band at various social occasions. First he studied playing drums, bass guitar when he chose as the main means of expression guitar. The student’s age was a member of various rock bands of local importance. Over time, completely failed, and influenced jazz guitarists like Jim Hall, Kenny Burrel, Wes Montgomery, Johnny Smith and Grant Green intensively studied harmony and everything with quality jazz music related.
Among jazz musicians and fans Najponk is known as a collector with an encyclopedic knowledge of jazz, almost everything that relates to jazz. It is considered one of the largest Czech experts in this genre, but also taught at the Conservatory Ježková their time history of jazz. Cyrille Oswald began his professional career in 1994 during a stay in the Caribbean.
