Naprstek Museum in Prague which is a part of the National Museum is dedicated to Asian, African and American cultures. Museum collections are very rich but only very small part is exposed to the visitors at the permanent exhibitions. The museum is located in the House of Halanek, where visitors can also visit a public library that offers not only books and periodicals, but also other collections of historic photographs, stereoscopic images, contemporary graphics and nowadays also gramophone records. There are also extensive archives of Naprstek’s family, travellers and Czechs living abroad. Naprstek Museum tries its best to publish and expose all of the unique collections.
